A Call for Unity

Unity is the name of the Game.
As many of you know, Georgia concluded its primary election process on June 16. We
saw hard-fought campaigns from the United States Senate down to a few State Legislative seats. Congratulations to all of our nominees across the board.
It is now time for all Republicans to unify behind our candidates who were chosen by the
voters. Sitting out any race because your candidate didn’t win in the Primary is a vote for the Democrats, and that is not what the Republicans have ever been about. We can have hard-fought primaries, social media spats, and all of the faux glorious things that come along with campaigning. Regardless, at the end of the day, unity will be what brings our Republican candidates across the finish line in November.
I will leave you with this: if you have any fences to mend with any campaign or
candidate, give it your best effort to do so. Don’t let the battles you fight today make permanent enemies for the future. In the words of the late Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson, “There are only two types of people: friends and future friends.”
